AskHouse MCP Connector
What it is
The AskHouse MCP connector lets Claude answer questions about a specific property directly from AskHouse's grounded data — the same data behind every card family in the AskHouse product: risk, value, building, planning, area, energy, solar, roof, facade, score, and imagery. It also covers the arrival experience, feasibility questions, and 3D imagery lookups. Every answer is grounded — the connector never invents a figure or verdict that isn't present in the underlying tool output — and every call is authenticated to your own AskHouse account via OAuth, so answers respect your account's access and usage limits.
The 8 tools
Claude decides which tools to call based on your question. Most conversations start with resolve_property to turn an address into a property_id, then use one or more of the other tools against that id.
resolve_property— Resolve a free-text property address to a property_id. Call this FIRST — every other tool needs the property_id it returns. Returns candidate matches; when exactly one confident match is found it also returns the property hero and the topic menu.property_menu— List the 11 topics you can ask about for a resolved property (risks, value, building, planning, area, energy, solar, roof, facade, score, imagery), with the property headline. Use when the user asks what is available.property_answer— Get the full grounded answer for one topic of a resolved property — any grounded top-level topic slug in the category enum (e.g. risks, value, area, solar, roof, score, imagery, feasibility_* verbs). Returns headline, key facts, a card image URL, a web link, and ready-to-send Adaptive Card JSON.ask_property— Answer a free-text question about a resolved property by routing it to the right grounded topic, including comparisons like 'compare the value with <address>'. Use ONLY when the topic is not obvious — when it is, call property_answer directly with that category.compare_properties— Compare two resolved properties on one topic, returning both grounded answers side by side plus a comparison summary. Requires two property_ids — resolve both addresses first. Does NOT resolve addresses itself.property_card_image— Get the shareable card image URL for one topic of a resolved property, for binding into an Adaptive Card Image element. Returns the image URL, alt text, dimensions and the web card link. Does NOT return facts or answers — use property_answer for those.property_imagery— Fetch property imagery (satellite, aerial, street view, or facade) for a resolved property, returning image URLs and provenance. Does NOT return the composed topic card image — use property_card_image for that.card_action— Fetch one grounded data slice for a resolved property: the full topic answer, or a single roof segment's data when segment_id is given. Data-only — no image, no Adaptive Card, no widget.
Adding this to Claude
AskHouse can be added to Claude as a custom connector:
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors (or your client's equivalent custom connector / MCP server settings).
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the AskHouse MCP connector URL:
https://mcp.ask.house/mcp - Follow the OAuth prompt to sign in with your AskHouse account. This is what lets the connector answer questions grounded in your account's properties and usage limits.
- Start a conversation and ask about a property by address — Claude will call the AskHouse tools as needed.
